Information for Sustaining Members
After 5 years of service, Active Members, in good standing, have the opportunity to become Sustaining Members. Sustaining Members have access to our website Member Pages, which contain links to our monthly newsletter, The Barn Beat, a full membership directory, and details about various social events. Sustaining Members, although no longer required to complete service hours, often help out at the Charles River Center Art program on Friday mornings and afternoons on Barn Meeting days and Newton Wellesley Hospital Thrift Shop on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Moreover, Sustaining Members frequently choose to assist our services on a more permanent basis as direct volunteers, and you might see them at locations including Wellesley Friendly Aid Association, Newton Wellesley Hospital Thrift Shop, Wellesley Food Pantry and the Health Department Flu Clinics. Sustaining Members continue to pay annual dues and are invited the Annual Meeting each year.
Three Sustaining Directors are voted into service each year and organize a variety of events over the course of the year.
Sustaining Members wishing to access the Member Pages must first sign and return the Media Release/Disclosure Form indicating their agreement to protect member privacy by NOT sharing member lists and contact information outside of WSL. The signed form may be mailed to: WSL, 219 Washington Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481 or scanned and emailed to the WSL Sustaining Directors at sustainerWSL@gmail.com or returned to a Sustaining Director at any social event. Once your signed form is received you will be provided "how to" instructions to obtain a username and password for full access to the website including calendars, events, etc.
Sustaining Member dues provide vital funds to help the Wellesley Service League support the community organizations listed above.
